The Early Signs of Menopause and What To Watch For

We’ve all heard about the changes your body goes through when you reach menopause. When we think of this time in life, most of us probably envision little white-haired old ladies. While menopause generally happens during a woman’s mid-50s, it is possible to start exhibiting symptoms earlier. Restore femininity provides resources to help women through this change.

It could happen during the day or you might experience night sweats that disrupt sleep and cause insomnia. Sounds pleasant, right? But don’t worry, you can talk to your doctor about hormone therapy, medications and other ways to help manage it. 3. Vaginal Dryness

There are a lot of reasons you may experience vaginal dryness and being premenopausal is certainly one of them. Estrogen helps produce your body’s natural lubrication, so as your body changes and you start making less estrogen, that means less lubrication in your lady parts.

4. Mood Swings

Your body is going through a big change and it won’t be the same again. Your hormone levels are changing which is causing weird cycles, hot flashes, night sweats, and less vaginal lubrication. This can make even the most cheerful person a little grumpy. Don’t be surprised if your mood changes on a dime and you go from happy lady to grumpy girl in a flash.

5. Body Changes

As your body changes on the inside and your hormone levels start fluctuating, your body is going to start changing on the outside as well. While every woman is different, many women experience hair loss, fine lines and wrinkles, more fat deposits around the midsection, and acne. For most women, these will be mild and as you progress through menopause, your body will settle in and the changes won’t be so noticeable.
