Going in for your annual visit is just one of those things that you have to do if you want to consider yourself an adult. At your exam, your ob-gyn will gather a general examination as well as, a breast exam and a pelvic exam, which may include a pap smear.
Going in for an exam shouldn’t be scary, but it’s easier said than done. It doesn’t matter if you’re in your 20s and experiencing menstrual cramping or in your 50s and dealing with vaginal dryness, an exam should be conducted at any age.
Although uncomfortable, going in for your annual exam is the best form of prevention.
