Menopause Shown Through Hormonal Imbalances

When women hit menopause or even perimenopause their hormones get all out of whack and bring on the most unwanted symptoms associated with menopause. Low estrogen is the leading culprit to the hormonal imbalance. When your body has too low of estrogen it cannot produce enough moisture, leading to feminine dryness.

Low estrogen not only affects your vagina, but many other things such as: your mood, sex drive and sleeping patterns. Estrogen is usually the most commonly thought about hormone in women, but what about testosterone? Testosterone is the hormone in women that brings on sexual desire. That being said, low testosterone levels during menopause affect the state of arousal that can get reached. No matter how intense your sex drive used to be, it will lower when your hormones deplete.
